What Mechanic Legends is
Mechanic Legends is a Roblox vehicle simulator created on April 3, 2026. Per its description, you take customer jobs, repair and modify cars, find rare cars and cruise the map of Los Archilis with friends. The title became [PERFORMANCE] on November 1; see the Mechanic Legends Performance update.
How to play Mechanic Legends early on is one loop: buy a wreck, fix it, paint it and sell it, or repair customers' cars for pay.
The tutorial car, step by step
This Mechanic Legends beginner guide follows the order the videos show. One dates from October 19, so details may differ now.
- Buy the first car. The tutorial starts at the Mechanic Legends junkyard. Hold E on a trashed car to inspect it, then buy it for about 4,000.
- Follow the GPS line. A green line leads to your garage. Drive onto the lift, raise it with E, open the hood and equip the wrench to see damaged parts.
- Charge the battery. Remove it, charge it at the battery charger and put it back. Removing a part takes a two to three second hold.
- Clean the radiator. The rusty radiator goes into the ultrasonic cleaner, then the part polisher until it reaches 100%.
- Paint the car. Follow the GPS to the paint shop. Stripping old paint costs money; then pick any colour in a booth.
- Sell it. Press E at the used car dealer, an NPC. CHALLS was offered $10,700; BrufMasterTTV and Avinestas say about 10K and 11K.
- Pick a starter car. You choose a free one from a few options. One narrator took the Hoshino Metro (the spelling in the video captions is unclear). More in Mechanic Legends cars.
- Fit the wiring harness. The new car will not start: a message says the harness is missing. Order one at the part-order table in your garage, using the tutorial's cash, and fit it from the delivery box.
Three videos (NoobBlox, Avinestas and BrufMasterTTV) show 5,000 cash arriving after that step. ItzVexo and Radex Tips say joining the Wrench Work group also gives 5,000. That may be one payout described twice, and nothing official confirms either, so plan on 5,000, not 10,000.
Mechanic Legends beginner guide: your first hour after the tutorial
For the rest of this Mechanic Legends beginner guide, the videos name two early routes: customer jobs, and flipping (buy a damaged car, fix it, paint it, sell it). Radex Tips suggests jobs first, then junkyard cars that are cheap to fix.

- Flipping. Compare asking price, repairs and market value first; a cheap car is no bargain if repairs cost more than expected.

Mechanic Legends tips that save cash
- Hold E on a junkyard car before you buy to see damaged parts, estimated repairs, market value and asking price.
- Add up price, repairs and paint. One narrator skipped a car needing about 3,300 in repairs for one needing about 1,000.
- Clean or polish before you order. A scrapped part cannot be fixed and must be bought new.
- Check the engine light before you sell; in ItzVexo's video it went off once the damaged parts were fixed.

Controls and getting around
Keyboard and mouse work. Hold E to inspect a car; E also raises the lift and sells at the used car dealer, and F gets you out of the car. BrufMasterTTV found a controller worked badly in an early version. Mobile and console controls are not documented.

No source says whether you can skip it. Three videos get from the first car to the wiring fix in roughly four minutes of footage.
Should you sell your starter car?
It is optional. ItzVexo advises new players to sell it and had 25,000 afterwards, his balance rather than a confirmed price. Radex Tips says you can sell it and buy something better.
Why will my car not start after I buy it?

Yes. The description lists cruising Los Archilis with friends, and servers hold up to 12 players.
